yes this is the very REALITY all over the arab world but is this REALITY optional or compelled ?!!!THIS is the question which needs to be answered as soon as possible!

  Thanks Rania for your relevant comment. Yes, so it seems to be the reality. Whether it’s optional or not is a difficult question to answer; because it’s people’s language habits and their choices that determine how language is or at least how it will be shaped. Yes I agree this is the question that needs to be addressed right now. Thank you once again.

Wow! I’m doing a research right now on Arabizi/slang you know like street talk and this video and your site has really helped me. was planning to go to Jordan or some place but my department refused (of course they would). This is awesome! You Rock Arabizi, like where do you get your ideas?! Doing studies right now on Arabic street talk in Egypt and Morrocco and your video here and the posts have really helped me. This is great! I haven’t seen this video before. It is very cleverly done. Do you have any idea when it was made? I quite like the idea that they filmed it in 3 countries too. I love the blog, Fatma. Great work!

As for the video I know it was done a few years ago, but I have no exact date I’m thinking 2006 -2010 that region of dates, yes it’s creative in the sense that it includes more than one country. It gives the idea that Arabizi is something that most Arabs do even if they differ in the extent to which they do it in….thanks for stopping by I’m honoured.

Like the video thanks for sharing, I agree Jordan is one place where when we speak Arabizi we feel prestigious 🙂 but to be honest I think it affect the Arabic language in bad ways. We find it hard to make sentence construction in proper Arabic after a while, I have my friend she tried to become a news presenter but they said her Arabic was too weak. Sad but true, I like here that your blogs it highlights these issues and things we think about our Arabic language thank you very much.
